Millennium Dance Company of Albertville announced this week that it will be moving from its current studio location near Coborn’s to a new facility one mile away, just north of the Albertville Premium Outlets, that is currently occupied by local fitness center, inFIT.
Millennium, a full-service dance studio offering classes to dancers ages 18 months through adult, has been growing consistently since opening its doors in 2016. Last year, the company added an additional studio to provide more space for its preschool-aged dancers and to offer additional private lessons for individuals.
“In adding our third studio, we quickly realized growing pains,” explained studio owner and director Jayme Stedman. “Although our children were still continuing to have access to top level training that MDC provides, our families have been experiencing a less than ideal viewing experience in the lobby and hallway areas.”
The new facility on Laketowne Place will offer students and their families nearly three times the amount of space available at the current studio.
“There will be 4 state of the art studios customized for dancers,” says Stedman “a viewing lobby to be able to support all of our family members comfortably.” The new location also offers additional parking and restrooms as well as a dedicated space for students to store their belongings during class.
To go along with its expanded studio space, Millennium will be welcoming several new dance instructors for the 2019–20 season. The transition will take place over the summer, with a grand opening date projected before the start of the fall dance season.
