Hit the St. Michael City Center parking lot between 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and be sure to bring your child’s bike, as the Open Streets series returns courtesy of Family Youth Community Connections (FYCC) and sponsors LIVEWright, FYCC and United Way.
The event will include several local businesses, including Allina Clinic, the aforementioned sponsors, a couple of local banks, Edward Jones and Nick Shultz working on bike tune ups, just to name a few.
There will be a 1 p.m. bike parade and lots of games on the grounds to keep the kids active, too.
Did I mention $5 (yes, $5) bike helmets for the kids? Thanks to Allina, FYCC and the STMA Rotary, hundreds of helmets will be available Saturday morning for families who don’t want to fork over 20 bucks at the regional retail store.
