Kaleidoscope Charter School fifth-grader Evan A. was honored by a statewide safety organization yesterday after his poster created to remind kids to be safe online was named on Minnesota’s best.
Evan’s Minnesota Kids Safe Online Poster contest was honored by MN.IT Assistant Commissioner and State Chief Information Officer Chris Buse at Kaleidoscope Charter School on Monday, April 20.
The Minnesota Kids Safe Online Poster Contest encourages kids to creatively illustrate online and computer safety in an effort to raise awareness among children of all ages. This year, hundreds of Minnesota students submitted original artwork illustrating the safe use of the Internet, computers and mobile devices. The posters were judged on concept, creativity and originality.
Fifth grader, Evan A. from Kaleidoscope School is one of this year’s 15 winners and received his winning certificate from Assistant Commissioner Buse at the school.
All of the winners will represent Minnesota in the National Multi-State Information Sharing and Analysis Center (MS-ISAC) Cyber Security Awareness National Calendar Contest.
