Another set of accolades has come in for the St. Michael-Albertville School District, this time from Niche online, a website used to inform those looking for “their niche,” (or, new neighborhood or community). The site has ranked District No. 885 at 17th in the state, while naming St. Michael-Albertville High School among the state’s Top 30 secondary schools.
The 17th place ranking puts the district in the top 5 percent of school districts in Minnesota, something Superintendent Jim Behle said is a big honor for the district, especially as it continues its fight for equitable funding here in Minnesota.
STMA School District ranked ahead of districts such as Mankato and Westonka. Only Delano, at 16th, ranked higher when the criteria looked at “out of metro” school districts.
Nice ranks school districts on dozens of key statistics and includes opinion surveys in its formula. A high ranking indicates high grades given to teachers, educational opportunities, achievement and overall high school experience.
