As women’s clothing outlet Coldwater Creek, based in Idaho, did not find a buyer after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy earlier this year, meaning all stores, nationwide, will close.
That will leave a hole in the Albertville Premium Outlets, as the location there is one of 11 to close in Minnesota.
According to the company’s website, the 11 stores in Minnesota are:
- Albertville, Albertville Premium Outlets
- Bloomington, Mall of America
- Duluth, Miller Hill Mall
- Eden Prairie, Eden Prairie Center
- Mankato, River Hills Mall
- Maple Grove, The Shoppes at Arbor Lakes
- Minnetonka, Ridgedale Center
- Rochester, Apache Mall
- Roseville, Rosedale Center
- St. Cloud, Crossroads Center
The company will begin to “wind down” its services this month, with “going out of business sales” to be conducted at a later date. Coldwater Creek, based in Sandpoint, will shut down its loyalty/rewards program this month and also cease selling gift cards.
In a statement to customers released April 11, the company stated, “We want to express to you, our valued customers what a difficult and painful decision this was for everyone involved in our company. Unfortunately, this decision came only after we made every effort possible to sustain Coldwater Creek as a viable business. On behalf of all of us at Coldwater Creek, it has been a privilege to serve you, and it is with deepest gratitude that we thank you for your loyalty and your business over the past 30 years.”
