With traffic already bottle-necked along Wright County Highway 19 due to the County Road 137/37 Closure, the Wright County Highway department is announcing another project and detour – this one coming right after the conclusion of Albertville Friendly City Days.
Beginning Monday, June 15, Wright County Highway 18 (Jason Avenue) will be closed from Wright County Highway 19 to Main Avenue in Albertville. Work will include a roundabout at the entrance of the housing development south of STMA Middle School West, as well as turn lanes and should work.
Local traffic, including access to and from Middle School West, Joint Powers Water, and the Preserve at Albertville, will be maintained throughout the project. All other traffic should follow the posted detour or use an alternate route based on destination.
Please allow extra travel time and use caution, as the detour overlaps with other active construction areas. The project is expected to be completed by the end of August.
Updates will be posted on the project website as they become available. If you have questions or concerns during construction, please contact the construction helpline at WrightCo18@wsbeng.com or call 763-762-2839.
