Four Hanover Teens Vying for Miss Hanover Crown

Four local teens are vying for the title of Miss Hanover, and the opportunity to represent the Wright County river town in local festivals around the region for 2015-2016.

Two of the four will be awarded their sash and crown at coronation during Hanover Harvest Festival, set for 3 p.m. at the Settlers Park Main Stage on Saturday, Aug.1.

Belle Wanke, sponsored by Maverick Construction;

Crystal Malewicki, sponsored by the Hanover Fire Department and Roy C. Inc.;

Shannon Labat, sponsored by Comfort Matters and M. Miller Trucking; and

Nicole Christenson, sponsored by ServPro and the Hanover Athletic Association.

Selections are based on awards and accomplishments, community activities, offices/club memberships/organizational involvement, and future educational and career aspirations. Contestants will be further judged on such things as poise, dress, speech, interview answers and their impromptu answer to a question drawn randomly.

The new twosome will take over for Mallory Gutknecht Miss Hanover, and Mackenzie Malwecki, current princess.

This is the sixth year for the Hanover Royalty Program.
