The Albertville Royalty Committee has unveiled the 16 candidates vying for four spots on the Junior Royalty for the 2015-16 campaign.
The foursome will be named in a coronation set for Sunday, June 14 at the high school.
Along the way, candidates will participate in the following events:
Saturday, May 16 – Meet the 2015 candidates at the Open Streets Event with FYCC starting at 9 a.m.
Saturday, May 23 – Come and watch the current court and candidates in the Zimmerman Parade – begins at noon.
Saturday, May 30 – 12 hour Rock-A-Thon at Coborn’s from Noon to Midnight! Junior Candidates will be there too with their Jump Rope-A-Thon from 3:30-4:30! Come say hi!!
Tuesday, June 9 – NEW EVENT – MEET YOUR CANDIDATES SHOW at the High School PAC 6:30-8 p.m. Cost is $3. The candidates will wear something from their closet that best represents them AND tell you about what is going on during Friendly City Days. They will also answer their on-stage question.
Saturday June 13th TWO EVENTS! #1 Rootbeer Floats and Face painting with the candidates from 11-1 at the Lion’s Shelter – Donations welcomed! #2 The annual spaghetti from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at St. Albert’s Parish Center. Enjoy a yummy dinner with spaghetti, meatballs (optional), House Salad, Garlic Bread and Cookies! Cost is $8 per person (Sr.’s and children under 10 are $5). The royalty program will have live music as well!
Sunday June 14th – THE BIG DAY!! Watch the current Albertville Royal Court in their final Parade as well as the candidates. The Junior Candidates will join their Miss “Buddy” in the convertible! Then following the parade, join us to see who is crowned as the 40th ALBERTVILLE ROYAL COURT!! High School PAC @ approx. 4:30 p.m. Admission is a $5 ticcket (you may purchase at the door).
