Girl Scouts in the community gathered on Saturday, March 7th to celebrate girl empowerment at an annual event called Winter Encampment. Girls made crafts that encourage positive body image, made a healthy snack and participated in anti-bullying activities. Zumba and Taekwondo were both favorite activities of the girls that attended. Approximately 160 girls total participated in this fun-filled day. Girls also came together and made sandwiches for the less fortunate. In total they made almost 1,000 sandwiches!
