The Wright County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a bicyclist was struck by a vehicle on Monday, Nov. 27.
The accident happened at the intersection of School Boulevard and Fallon Avenue around 7:12 a.m. A 16-year-old male bicyclist was riding north on Fallon Avenue and was crossing School Boulevard in the crosswalk when he was struck by a westbound passenger vehicle. The vehicle was driven by a 16-year-old female. Both the driver and bicyclist are Monticello High School students.
The bicyclist was transported by ambulance to North Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the vehicle was not injured. Her car was towed from the scene of the accident.
The crash is still under investigation.
