Saturday, Jan. 18, the St. Michael-Albertville Knights Swim and Dive team competed in the 8AA True Team Section meet, finishing in second place. True Team tests each high school’s depth by awarding points for every competitor from first to last. The Knights were well represented with many great performances.
Coach Kelli Nadeau was very pleased with the results, as the Knights pushed several swimmers on to podium.
“We had a ton of top eight finishes, and many of those were first and second place finishes,” Coach Nadeau said. “We work extremely hard and they (the boys) are very good at getting done what needs to be done to help the team.”
Final team point totals were: St. Cloud Tech 1,410, St. Michael-Albertville 1,321, Elk River 1,280, Brainerd 1,194, Buffalo 1,147, Moorhead 685, Rogers 257, and Zimmerman 60.
