UPDATE: Kelly Anderson of Albertville has been booked into the Hennepin County Court system on charges of first degree attempted murder, robbery and providing false information to police in connection to the shooting of a Wisconsin truck driver over the weekend.
Anderson, who has a couple of run-ins with the law, including drunk driving charges, is being held on $1 million bail.
According to the criminal complaint provided to local media outlets, Anderson crawled into the Wisconsin man’s delivery truck woke up the driver up, demanded his semi, assaulted him and shot him in the mouth.
The driver is in critical condition and doctors at Hennepin County Medical Center are attempting to remove the bullet from his brain.

A 28-year-old Albertville man is facing serious charges in connection to a shooting in an Eden Prairie parking lot over the weekend.
Kelly Neal Anderson of Albertville has been arrested in connection to the shooting of a 58-year-old Wisconsin man in the early morning hours of Saturday, Nov. 8 at Jerry’s Foods, 9625 Anderson Lakes Pkwy., Eden Prairie.
According to police reports, Eden Prairie police received a call shortly after 5 a.m. Saturday about an individual that needed to be checked in the grocery store parking lot.
Upon arrival, officers found a man next to a semi rig with head trauma, later examined and identified as a gunshot wound. Though injured, the man was transported by ambulance to Hennepin County Medical Center, where he is currently recovering.
According to EPPD, officers were notified during the investigation that a white male, later identified as Anderson, was walking along U.S. Highway 169 North and was being questioned by the Bloomington Police Department.
The EPPD report states:
“After it was determined the individual may have been involved in the shooting, Eden Prairie Police arrested Anderson of Albertville, Minn. under probable cause for Attempted Second Degree Murder, First Degree Aggravated Robbery and First Degree Assault.
Investigators later recovered a handgun believed to be involved in the shooting, near the area where the victim was found.
Evidence indicates Anderson and the victim were unknown to one another, and the injuries sustained by the victim were the result of an attempted robbery.”
Anderson is currently in custody at the Hennepin County Jail and the case has been referred to the Hennepin County Attorney for a charging decision.
