The St. Michael-Albertville High School administration and staff, as well as the student body, welcomes all area Veterans to the STMA Performing Arts Center for a special ceremony at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, in honor of Veterans Day.
Veterans will be seated in the PAC in a special area as the school presents this annual program. The keynote speaker this year is Rep. Tom Emmer, a Wright County native and the district’s representative in United States Congress. Emmer recently celebrated his son, Joe’s enlistment in the US Naval Services.
“It’s a great day for any parent,” Emmer told NWCT when he visited with the site last year. “You’ve got this wide range of emotions. You’re nervous for him. But really, you’re so proud that he’s made a decision like this, to serve our country. It’s amazing.”
The day will also feature performances by the STMA High music department and the presentation of the colors by the St. Michael American Legion’s Honor Guard.
The public is welcome to the PAC for the event. Guests will be asked to come in through the main office doors.
