The Albertville Fire Depatment will be hosting a pulled pork dinner and benefit for Tim Daly and Brian Nagle, the two Allina Health Emergency Medical workers who were injured in a head-on accident last January.
Daly and Nagle were transporting a St. Michael woman to Buffalo Hospital when they were struck head-on by a vehicle driven by Marilyn Paumen, Monticello. Nagle suffered head injuries, including a broken orbital and skull fractures. Daly, the driver, suffered injuries to both legs, but helped move Laura Worley, 35, of St. Michael, to a new ambulance before receving his own treatment.
Paumen, 51, later died of her injuries at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale.
The dinner for the two EMT’s is set for 3 to 9 p.m. Saturday, March 22 at the Albertville Fire Hall, located at 11350 57th St. NE in Albertville. Albertville Fire, Minnetonka Fire (Nagel was a volunteer), Allina and IAEP Local 167 will sponsor the event.
The night will includ hot dogs for the kids, a silent acution, t-shirts and a DJ. Items are needed for the silent auction benefit. To donate, contact Dean Eull at d.eull@hotmail.com or at 763-350-7768
