To Minnesota high school athletes, John Millea is “that guy with his picture on the car.”
Millea, a longtime writer for the Minnesota State High School League’s website and publications – and Twitter legend, is well-known for his recaps and stats, but is beloved by players and coaches alike because he travels from school to school, field to the gym for the stories that matter.
This week, that story was Jordan Mlsna.
The STMA cross country runner stopped her junior varsity race to help an opposing runner in need. Though she didn’t finish, she captured the spirit of what it means to be a student-athlete, and exemplified sportsmanship.
