The St. Michael-Albertville High School community is reeling this holiday week after learning of the death of a student Monday night.
School officials reported to STMA High School families that senior Spencer Charlesworth died, suddenly. The school did not release any details of the death.
Principal Bob Driver said school counselors would be on hand Tuesday, Nov. 20 throughout the day as staff attempts to assist students dealing with grief and sadness over the loss of the friend and classmate.
Parents who are concerned their student may need additional support may contact the high school during office hours tomorrow.
Spencer was a member of the Knights’ state-qualifying cross country team and an “A” honor roll student. Driver said school staff was informed of the tragedy Monday afternoon.
