Where to vote?
If you did NOT vote early (and many have, according to Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon), polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. in St. Michael and Albertville. The precincts in St. Michael report at two different spaces – with the eastern portion of the community heading to STMA Middle School East, and the western portion voting at STMA High School. The split is Wright County Highway 19.
If you’re in Albertville, you vote at St. Michael-Albertville Middle School West.
Remember, Minnesota has a couple of requirements, by law, that make it one of the best states in the country when it comes to voter participation.
- Your employer must give you up to two hours time off to vote. This can’t be penalized.
- You can register to vote ON SITE. If you’re not sure if you’re registered, you can bring identification and a bill that proves your residence in your precinct. Again, more information about that can be found on the Minnesota SoS website.
