Members of the St. Michael-Albertville Stallions – the local athletic program that is part of Special Olympics Minnesota – marched with other Minnesota athletes in the Opening Ceremonies of the 2018 USA Special Olympics Games, held in Seattle, Washington, this month.
The Stallions wereselected by Special Olympics Minnesota to represent TEAM MINNESOTA in Unified Flag Football at the 2018 USA Games, which run through July 6.

Coaches and organizers said this is a “once in a lifetime” opportunity for these amazing kids who enjoy the game of football, but enjoy being together and competing even more.
The opening ceremonies were broadcast on ABC affiliate KSTP, but the national feed went to commercial as much of the Minnesota athlete contingent came into Husky Stadium.
