Homeroom teachers at St. Michael-Albertville High School are always on the lookout for exceptional eleventh-grade students to recommend for STMA’s Rotary Student of the Month program. Local Rotarians select students each month of the school year who embody their motto of “service above self,” with the focus on students in their junior year so the honor can be included in college applications.
For May, the local Rotary club has given this distinction to Kaleb Dombeck and Gianna Haseman.
Kaleb is the son of Kip and Jen Dombeck of St. Michael. Kaleb has participated in Concert Choir, Chambers, and Singing Knights. His awards and recognition include: Regional ACDA Conference Performance in Chicago, Honors Performance Series Concert Choir, and performance at Carnegie Hall in NYC. After graduation, Kaleb is looking forward to seeing where life’s adventures take him.
Gianna is the daughter of Angela and Lee Haseman of Albertville. She has participated in plays, musicals, One Act, National Honor Society, and ITS. Her awards and recognition include: National Gold Medal for Photography and Outstanding Award for Stage Managing. After graduation, Gianna plans to attend Emerson to study stage management.
“Rotary is very proud to recognize Gianna and Kaleb as students of the month” said Christine Konz, STMA Rotary Club President. “They have demonstrated a commitment to academic excellence and represent the service about self ideals of Rotary. We wish them a successful future.”
