Local outlet mall shoppers have another way they can help their local schools as they shop.
The new School Bucks program allows shoppers to earn points for participating local schools by bringing their Albertville Premium Outlet receipts to the Guest Services Center, where points will be credited to the participating school of their choice. One point will be awarded per dollar spent, with opportunities for double or triple points throughout the year.
The program will run through May 15, 2017. The top point-earning school will win a $10,000 prize and the second place school will win $5,000.
The list of participating schools includes: St. Michael-Albertville High School, Big Woods Elementary, Fieldstone Elementary and Albertville Primary in the STMA school district and Lincoln Elementary and Meadowvale Elementary in the Elk River school district.
“Albertville Premium Outlets strongly believes in the importance of education, and we know that many schools face challenges with increasing budget constraints,” said Sara Smith, director of marketing and business development at Albertville Premium Outlets. “We are excited to introduce the School Bucks program in an effort to assist schools in our community so that they can fund the programs they need to help students succeed.”
