Some much-needed changes to the striping on 50th Street Northeast in Albertville will take place this week to reduce traffic congestion and ease the pain of entering and exiting St. Michael-Albertville Middle School West at peak hours of the day.
Highway crews from Wright County will be making changes to include the addition of a westbound left turn lane and bypass lane at the westerly driveway, and relocating the stop bars at the West Driveway intersection to improve sight lines.
Weather permitting, the work will begin on Wednesday, Nov. 2 and will be completed on Thursday, Nov. 3. Work is scheduled to take place between the hours of 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. each day to avoid peak traffic times at the school.
