A St. Michael teen is facing one count of second degree murder, along with counts of robbery, in association to a weekend dragging death on a Montrose road last weekend.
Noelle A. Ziegelmann, 18, St. Michael, is charged along with James, D. Striebel, also 18, of Howard Lake in the death of Justin Harvey, 18, of Montrose near his home on the 500 block of First Street North, according to the Wright County Sheriff’s Office.
Both Ziegelmann and Striebel, who are graduates of Buffalo High, are in the Wright County Jail awaiting court appearances.
According to the sheriff’s department, an incident occurred when Harvey approached the pickup, which had been parked on the road near Harvey’s home. The vehicle accelerated during the altercation between Harvey and one of the two occupants of the vehicle, and Harvey was dragged for a short distance.
Wright County Dispatch officers received an emergency call around 2:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 28, stating someone was unconscious in the road. Harvey was found, and the man later died at Hennepin County Medical Center.
The case remains under investigation by the Wright County Sheriff’s Office.
