The Wright County Sheriff’s Office announced the teen found near death after a beating in a Wright County park has died from her injuries.
Meanwhile, a third suspect was apprehended in connection to the case.

Sheriff Joe Hagerty reports that on Saturday, June 4th, Cheyenne Lee Clough passed away as a result of her injuries sustained during an incident at Crow Springs County Park in Franklin Township. Clough had been hospitalized at North Memorial Hospital since Wednesday, June 1st. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office will be conducting an autopsy of Clough to determine the exact cause of death.
In the early morning hours of Sunday, June 5th, a search warrant was executed at a residence near Pelland Junction, located in Koochiching County. The search resulted in the arrest of Justin Jensen and Natasha Brandenburger in connection with the death of Cheyenne Clough. The search was conducted by members of the Koochiching County Sheriff’s Office, International Falls Police Department, Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, Beltrami County SWAT team, Border Patrol, and Minnesota State Patrol.
In a separate incident a third suspect, Edward Zelko, was taken into custody during a traffic stop in Staples Minnesota. Zelko is also being held in connection with the death of Cheyenne Clough.
This is still an active investigation involving multiple jurisdictions. The Wright County Attorney’s Office will be reviewing the information and evidence obtained during the investigation to determine what level of charges will be brought.
At this time the 2008 white/cream Honda Accord has not been located. The Wright County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating this vehicle. The vehicle was last seen to have Minnesota license plates 307LCX.
