St. Michael-Albertville coaches, athletes, parents, staff, and students gathered at the High School Performing Arts Center for the Second Annual STMA Coaches Association Student-Athlete of the Year Award Ceremony.
The STMA Coaches Association recognized six student-athletes on Monday. The nominees for Female Student-Athlete of the Year were; Sidney Schreiner (Cross Country, Hockey, and Lacrosse), Sydney Tracy (Soccer and Basketball), and McKenna Rogers (Cross Country, Basketball, and Track & Field). The nominees for Male Student-Athlete of the Year were; John Zimmer (Football and Track & Field), Evan Ronsen (Football and Wrestling), and Isaiah Weston (Football, Basketball, and Track & Field).
These six student-athletes not only performed well on the field, track, rink, mat, or court, but also in the classroom and in the community. STMA Coaches spoke on behalf of these athletes and shared accomplishments, awards, and why these athletes were nominated. All six of these student-athletes have shown great character traits in the STMA community and they will be truly missed.
The recipients of this year’s STMA Coaches Association Student-Athlete of the Year were Sydney Tracy and Isaiah Weston.
