Commuters and students could wake up to a bit of a wonderland tomorrow, at least on area rooftops and lawns, as the season’s first snowfall should shake out overnight.
The National Weather Service in Chanhassen reports a low pressure system will sweep through the area Wednesday and into Thursday, with a near 100 percent chance of precipitation in Wright County.
That could spell for some snowfall in Wright County, particularly the northwestern portion of the area. Temperatures should stay high enough in Albertville in Otsego, for example, that nearly a half of an inch of rain is expected.
Out near Clearwater and points west and north, snow could coat lawns and rooftops, but won’t stick to roads on Thursday morning, the NWS reports.

No need to fret, by the way. After temps dip down in the mid 40s for much of the week, the STMA/Otsego and Hanover area should knock on 60 degrees Sunday, Nov. 1.
Halloween Forecast
Expect clear skies and really perfect conditions for those trick-or-treaters. Possibly the best seen in a few years. Highs Saturday are set for the mid-50s, with a low near 45. Temps around 6:30 p.m., or right after most people head out, should be 55 degrees, according to Accuweather.com.
