The award-winning World Taekwondo Academy in St. Michael will be offering a pair of Women’s Self Defense classes in the community, the first of which is set for this weekend.
The one-time class is taught by black belt instructors from the World Taekwondo Academy of Saint Michael-Albertville. Registration is set for 10:15 Saturday, Aug. 8 at the academy, which is located in the Colonial Mall next to Subway.
A future class is also scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 13.
Cost is just $10 per person for women ages 12 to adult. A registration form and payment must be submitted to confirm your spot. Space is limited. The complete registration can be found via the Facebook event page, which is located here.
Attendees should wear comfortable clothing – we will be doing stand up and ground techniques; bring a water bottle, and arrive on time to check-in (10:15 a.m.). Please do not bring children as WTA is limited on space.
All proceeds from the Women’s Self-Defense classes go to WTA’s fundraiser for the Randy Shaver Foundation.
