Mother’s Day weekend was interrupted by an apparent tragedy Saturday after a shooting was reported in a St. Michael neighborhood.
Wright County Dispatch was called by an apparent shooting victim shortly after 7:20 p.m. Saturday, May 9. The report, placed on social media by Police Clips, stated the victim was a man, and was fighting for his life.
Air Care ambulance was called to a neighborhood north of Highwoods Park in St. Michael, but left without a patient, witnesses said.
Wright County Sheriffs Office deputies and Minnesota State Patrol troopers had cordoned off the scene by 8 p.m.
No details were available on the victim or the shooter at this time.
Later reports via Police Clips state a man in Monticello had called to turn himself over in relation to the shooting, and was in custody.
