The class of 2014 was one of St. Michael-Albertville High School’s last to be under the 400 student mark, but will go down as one of the highest in the school’s history when it comes to percentage of students graduated.
The St. Michael-Albertville High School graduate rate for 2014 was 98 percent, according to recently released graduation rates by the Minnesota Department of Education for all Minnesota high schools.
That tops the state average by a margin of nearly 20 percent. The state of Minnesota’s graduation rate was 81.2 percent, with its announced goal to reach a 90 percent graduation rate by the year 2020.
Historically, STMA’s graduation rate trend is for graduation rates to above 90 percent. But the climb to a 98 percent rate has been swift. In 2010, the STMA graduation rate just under 94 percent.
