Girl Scout Cadette Troop 14020 hosted a Community Service Food Drive & Fleece event to support our community on Saturday January 17th. Over 60 Girl Scouts from the Crow River Service Unit gathered at St. Paul’s Hanover Lutheran to collect food and to make blankets, winter hats and scarves for those in need. The event was a great success! Over two hundred and eight pounds of food and 24 blankets were made and donated to the local Hanover Food Shelf. In addition, the girls also made 53 winter hats and scarves that will be donated to the Courage Center. The girls ended the event by celebrating their work and playing a trivia game to reinforce their knowledge of Girl Scout history and traditions.
