A St. Michael man was sentenced to four days jail time for a 2014 domestic incident. He’ll also be required to receive counseling for his conviction as a domestic abuser.
Dallas Raymond Evenstad, 26, of St. Michael, was sentenced on Aug. 6 for Misdemeanor Assault in the Fifth Degree to 90 days jail, $200 fine; 86 days stayed for two years on conditions of probation, serve 4 days jail, pay $200 fine plus surcharges, pay restitution, undergo chemical dependency treatment and follow all recommendations, complete Domestic Abuse Batterer’s Intervention Program and follow all recommendations, have no use or possession of alcohol or non-prescription drugs, submit to random testing, have no contact with victim or victim’s residence, have no same or similar violations. The sentence was issued by Judge Catherine McPherson.

John Merle Goins, 45, of Buffalo, sentenced on July 18 for Gross Misdemeanor Second Degree DWI to 365 days jail, $300 fine; 345 days stayed for four years on conditions of probation, serve 20 days jail, pay $300 fine plus surcharges, serve 40 days on electronic home monitoring, have no use or possession of alcohol or non-prescription drugs, submit to random testing, attend Awareness Panel for Impaired Drivers, complete a driving with care program and follow all recommendations, have no same or similar violations.
