Reading has gone to the dogs this month, again, at the St. Michael-Albertville-Hanover Library, located at the St. Michael City Center.
Taurus, that lucky dog, will be back in the library later this month for a special reading experience.
Here’s a look at the month ahead.
Science Explorers Wizard School – July 14
Children in grades K–5 are invited to a Science Explorers Wizard School at the St. Michael Public Library on Monday, July 14 at 10:00 a.m. Become an apprentice as you learn the science behind the magic. Harness electricity, create potions and explore alchemy in this hands-on class sponsored by the St. Michael Friends of the Library.
Read to Taurus, a Reading Education Assistance Dog – July 19
Young readers (grades K-3) are invited to sign up to read to Taurus, a certified Reading Education Assistance Dog, at the St. Michael Public Library on Saturday, July 19, 10:00 a.m. to noon. Taurus is a very patient listener. Reading to him helps encourage young readers who lack confidence. Sign up for a 15 minute session. Bring your own book or choose one from the library.
