Despite storms, floods and win, Bounce for Haiti is hoping to spread a little joy in St. Michael-Albertville despite all the clouds.
And for a good cause.
Alleluia Lutheran Church’s annual “Bounce for Haiti” is set for 4 to 8 p.m. today, Thursday, June 19 f at the St. Michael City Hall. There will be lots of fun for ALL ages. Giant Inflatable rides to bounce on, carnival games to play, face painters, wacky hair and food concessions all under one roof.
Much of event will be moved inside due to the weather.
As always there will be a few HUGE prizes raffled off and many wonderful Silent Auction Baskets to bid on!!!
The community’s generous support is greatly appreciated as Alleluia Lutheran Church prepares to send its sixth team of 13 members to Port Au Prince, Haiti to serve during the week of August 11-18, 2014 through Healing Haiti.
The night features a silent auction, as well, with plenty of valuable prizes that attendees can bid on and take home.
Alleluia has been sending a contingent to Port Au Prince and other areas of Haiti since an earthquake ravaged the country in January 2010, killing an estimated 160,000 people and leveling more than 250,000 homes and thousands more office and government buildings.
A cholera outbreak in the years since has demanded medical treatment, though 8,000 are estimated to have died, according to the World Health Organization and the US Center for Disease Control.
