Wright County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were led on a high-speed chase Wednesday that ended in Monticello with one wrecked vehicle and one driver missing.
Authorities are still looking for the man who led officers on the chase, which lasted several minutes, through Silver Creek and Monticello townships before winding up in Monticello city limits. After the car eluded “spike sticks” on Wright County Highway 75, he made it into the city, where the sheriff’s office called off the high speed pursuit.
Patrol cars were able to later locate the vehicle within Monticello, but did not locate the driver.
