Kelly Perkins Robinson of St. Michael was on hand Monday night in Burbank, California, cheering on her sister and St. Michael-Albertville’s adopted rock star Kat Perkins as she competed in the Top 10 round on “The Voice.”
In case you missed Perkins’ performance (rumor has it there was some big hockey game last night in St. Paul) on television, here it is courtesy of NBC.com.
Perkins tackled Stevie Nicks’ “Landslide,” which she made famous with band Fleetwood Mac. It’s Perkins’ third go-round with a Stevie Nicks song. She auditioned with “Gold Dust Woman,” and also a Nicks duet in the “Battle Round” earlier this month.
Robinson is on hand in California, but her husband, Bill, along with family and friends were stationed at Space Aliens Bar and Grill in Albertville for the show, and will return their tonight at 7 p.m. for the live results show. Bill, who lives in the Highlands addition of St. Michael, said the entire community is invited to come and see if Kat moves on to the Top 8.
You can help “Team Kat” by hopping online to vote or using text (if you have a Sprint phone). Team Kat supporters can also download the song on iTunes and vote via The Voice website. Voting ends at 11 a.m. today, Tuesday, April 29.
