UPDATE: Aiden was found earlier today. He is safe and with his family.
A 12 year old Monticello boy named Aiden Kafka has been missing since the evening of August 18th, and a city-wide search for him is beginning this morning.
Those who are willing and able to help search are asked to arrive at 314 Elm Street in Monticello between 9-10 a.m. Volunteers will be asked to sign in and fliers will be distributed.
Aiden is described as tall and lanky for his age between 5’2” and 5’4” tall, weighs around 90 pounds and has dirty blonde hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue t shirt and black sweatpants, but he could also be wearing a tie dye t shirt. Aiden was last seen on the west end of Monticello, near Elm Street and County Road 39.
Besides today’s search, the Wright County Sheriff’s department has also put out a nationwide notice to law enforcement agencies about his disappearance. If you see Aiden please contact local law enforcement at 763-682-1162.
