Millennium Dance Company made waves earlier this summer when it announced it was moving into InFit’s location off Country Road 19 (LaBeaux Avenue) in Albertville, north of the Albertville Premium Outlets.
It left many fitness fans wondering, ‘Where is InFit headed?’
The answer reminds some of the home improvement show “Trading Spaces,” as InFit will take over the former Millennium location just south of Willy McCoy’s restaurant in front of Coborns.
“It’s a win-win. That’s cliche, but it really is for both of us,” said Ashley Darkenwald, longtime InFit owner. “We’ve separated from the Anytime Fitness location – which will stay where it is – and we are really in need of nice, medium-sized studio space. That’s what the Millennium space offers, so it really fit into our model and plans for the future.”
InFit celebrated with a soft opening this weekend, and will be running specials throughout the summer. Here’s a look at communication sent to members and InFit fans:
“Good morning inFIT community,
Summer is here! And it’s as lovely as ever. I hope you are enjoying the change of season with more time outdoors, fresh fruits and vegetables, and sunshine.
As you know, inFIT is walking into a season of change as well. We’re moving!
Our new location will be 5633 La Centre Ave., Suite 400, Albertville MN 55301. We’ll be located conveniently off of County Road 19, right in front of Coborns, next to Willy McCoys. We are finalizing the space right now. We hope to open the doors to you for classes and training by June 28th. Construction and moving are fluid, however, so we appreciate your flexibility and understanding as we transition. Be sure to follow us on Instagram and Facebook and on our website www.infit.org to stay in the loop as we share more images, virtual tours and updates. Thank you for all of your support and patience as we walk through this transition.
We started inFIT 11 years ago and have experienced many changes — we are so grateful for your loyalty and commitment! Over the last few years the needs of our clients have changed and we have decided to get back to our roots, focusing on group exercise, personal and small group training, and kids fitness programming. We will be offering a beautiful space and we can’t wait for you to see it!
As many of you know, inFIT began in Albertville’s “Old City Hall” building in 2008, where we operated one small ‘studio’ and several small training spaces out of offices.
The purchase of Anytime Fitness in 2009 started a 9 year partnership between Anytime Fitness and inFIT. The Towne Lakes building was perfect for the inFIT, Anytime Fitness collaboration! Our facility needs have changed since the sale of Anytime Fitness along with ever-changing demographics and need to become more streamlined and simplified. The timing for this move, like the one in 2009, is perfect!
Our new space will be smaller and more efficient, but also buzzing with energy with two large, beautiful group exercise studios and a large open area for personal and group training; quite similar to our current space. We will continue offering FITKare and youth fitness programming as well. The three main services inFIT has always provided with excellence will continue!
Following is a FAQ section which will address any questions you might have. If you have a question that isn’t listed, please let one of our team members be your first point of reference.
We are so grateful for your commitment to inFIT and we are truly excited to write the next chapter in the inFIT book with you!
Sincerely,
Shannon, Ashley, Carmen
