Funeral services have been set for a 21-year-old Concordia University – St. Paul student and St. Michael-Albertville graduate Chatrea “Tia” Rose Zachman. The funeral will be 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 23 at St. Michael Catholic Church, St. Michael. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 22 at the church and at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, prior to the service.
Tia, a beloved athlete and friend, according to family and community members around STMA and the university, died suddenly on Tuesday, April 16.

Catrea “Tia” Rose Zachman was born on January 20, 1998 in Cambodia.
Tia graduated from St. Michael-Albertville High School in 2016. She was attending Concordia College in St. Paul majoring in Communications.
Tia loved sports! Especially softball, lacrosse and basketball. She currently played lacrosse for Concordia College. Tia also coached lacrosse at Cretin -Derham Hall High School.
She always had a bright smile and a great sense of humor. Tia was loved by many.
Survived by her loving parents: Charles & Yvonne Zachman of St. Michael; a sister: Ashley (Aaron) Berning of Buffalo; a nephew: Colton Berning; grandmothers: Rosie Zachman and Jeanette Polejewski both of Otsego; further survived by aunts, uncles and cousins.
Preceded in death by her grandfathers Alfred Zachman and Frank Polejewski.
Mass of Christian Burial for Tia Zachman will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at 11 a..m at The St. Michael Catholic Church in St. Michael. A visitation will be held on Monday, April 22 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the St. Michael Catholic Church, 11300 Frankfort Parkway, St. Michael, MN.
Further visitation will be held on Tuesday morning, April 23 at 10 a.m., prior to Mass at the church.
