An Albertville business geared toward holistic healing and health has changed hands, as Nina McKee recently sold Tree of Life to her next door neighbors.
Christine Konz, who is co-owner of the Albertville HealthSource Chiropractic Clinic location with her husband, Dr. Andrew Konz, is leading Tree of Life into its next phase, as McKee plans to travel and spend time at her lake cabin, enjoying the next stage of her life.
“Tree of Life was really a passion for her and something she really thought would fit into our community, and she was definitely right on with that vision,” Christine Konz said. “It’s been great to watch the business grow and to team up with them throughout the years as we’ve both offered a lot of new alternatives to residents here – women, families and men.”
Throughout the past 18 months, McKee brought a wide range of independent natural health practitioners together under one roof by opening Tree of Life Wellness, which opened its doors in February 2017 for clients to book a large array of services. The list runs from well-known services such as acupuncture, dietician/nutrition specialists, chiropractic care and massage therapy, to a lengthy list of more unique offerings such as thermography imaging, reflexology, allergy elimination testing and more.

Konz has retained the services of Abby Robeck to assist her in running the clinic, offering many of those same services through independent holistic health providers. The clinic held a grand-reopening a month ago (Sept. 6) to celebrate, but the feeling is “the more things change, the more they stay the same.”
“We’ll continue to work with many of the practitioners that have been in and out before,” Christine said. “To have this kind of resource all in one area – for a lot of services that you wouldn’t find anywhere outside of the cities – it’s a no-brainer to keep this going.”
McKee said she’s going to use her “free time” to travel the country with her sons, Patrick and Mitchell, who wrestle for the University of Minnesota and the Minnesota Storm amateur wrestling club. Both graduates of St. Michael-Albertville, the McKee brothers won multiple state championships in wrestling for the Knights, with Patrick helping lead the squad to a team Minnesota State Championship last season. Both have Olympic wrestling aspirations, as the sport returns to the Summer Games in 2020. Nina’s husband, Steve, lost his battle to cancer in 2014.
Thursday, Oct. 11 Tree of Life will celebrate women with a very special event – “Women’s Wellness Night.” The event will feature a number of practitioners and speakers, with traditional medicine practitioners such as Oakdale OBGYN and Stellis Health on hand, as well as holistic practitioners such as acupuncture specialists and thermography specialists on hand.
