Alleluia Lutheran Church, the St. Michael-Albertville school district and Marketplace Foods have teamed up for a summer breakfast event that all STMA families can participate in.
“Breakfast at the Playground” will run each Wednesday morning from 9:00-10:30 a.m. between June 13-August 22, with the exception of July 4th. All STMA school-age children and adolescents are welcome to either grab-and-go their breakfast, or stay at the playground to eat and play with youth volunteers. Volunteers will organize playground games and activities until 10:30.
Locations for Breakfast at the Playground will rotate between Albertville Primary and St. Michael Elementary School in order to reach both the St. Michael and Albertville communities.
“Our purpose and goal of this program is to help support the children and adolescents in this community to stay healthy, active and safe this summer,” organizer Carol Langager said. “This creates another opportunity to do that.”
