It’s time for the St. Michael-Albertville High School Fall Musical, and director Joshua Mann and dozens of STMA students are pulling out the best for the “ball,” as they present Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “Cinderella.”
Shows are set for 7 p.m. each night Nov. 9, 10 and 11, with a special 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday, Nov. 12.
Tickets are on sale now at the STMA High School website, and will also be available at the door of the STMA Performing Arts Center.
Rodgers and Hammerstein’s version of “Cinderella” is based upon the fairy tale Cinderella, centering on the French version Cendrillon, ou la Petite Pantoufle de Verre, by Charles Perrault. The story features a young woman forced into a life as a servant by her cruel stepmother and self-centered stepsisters, who dreams of a better life. With the help of her Fairy Godmother, Cinderella is transformed into a Princess and finds her Prince at the Royal Ball.
