After a major remodeling project that transformed Coborn’s in Albertville into the company’s third “next-generation” store, guests and employees will mark this achievement with a grand re-opening celebration from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30.
This re-grand opening at Coborn’s Marketplace in Albertville will be coupled with the annual “Taste of the Holidays” event, which occurs at all Coborn’s stores companywide. Guests can enjoy many samples throughout the store, music by the St. Michael-Albertville High School Choir, visits with Santa Claus and more.
At 5:00pm, a mini program will be held in the Caribou Coffee area to celebrate the completion of the remodel. Chris Coborn, (President/CEO/Chairman of the Board), will offer remarks along with District Manager Francis Audette, Store Director Gordy Midas, I-94 West Chamber of Commerce President Dawn Spear and Albertville Mayor Jillian Hendrickson. Coborn’s, Inc. Executives and local dignitaries will also be in attendance.
Through this remodel, Coborn’s has added more fresh products, introduced new services and brought a unique modern look to the interior of the store, as seen at Coborn’s Marketplace in Isanti and at Pine Cone Road in Sartell. Some of the key changes that Coborn’s guests will notice include (note: information provided by Coborn’s staff):
The Kitchen: This new centerpiece area will serve made-to-order entrees that are packaged in-store for easy, convenient pick-up and quick at-home preparation. Brick-oven fired pizza, delicious sandwiches and other grab-and-go breakfast, lunch and dinner options are just a few of the items guests will find in the Kitchen, in addition to a sushi bar and future salad bar.
Albertville is also the first location that Coborn’s will launch its re-branded chicken products under the Chicken Shack name. All popular current offerings and new additions will be sold under this name. The chicken is double battered and made all through the day so it’s always fresh! Coborn’s uses a secret, crave worthy breading blend for hand-dipped chicken tenders and fried chicken. The grilled chicken and our rotisserie chicken are seasoned to perfection. Coborn’s chicken is raised on local Gold N Plump family farms and are antibiotic free and American Humane Certified.
Chop Shoppe: This new service will allow guests the opportunity to save time by getting their fresh fruits and veggies cut before they leave the store. The Chop Shoppe also produces a variety of freshly-squeezed juices, which are available to purchase.
Click and Collect online shopping: Guests will be able to place their order online by visiting coborns.com, shopping on any mobile or desktop device and have their order waiting for them for pickup at a designated timeslot they’ve chosen.

During this event, she and Pharmacist Annie Anderson will speak to a group about preventing and managing diabetes, and also provide more insight into Coborn’s, Inc.’s new Dietitian’s Choice program.
