School Digger, a school research and comparison site, has ranked Minnesota’s school districts and schools based on the latest MCA-III standardized test results, and the STMA district came out in the #6 spot in the state.
The district’s three elementary schools ranked #16 (St. Michael Elementary), #34 (Big Woods Elementary) and #43 (Fieldstone Elementary.)
Other top performing elementary schools in the area include Parker Elementary in Elk River at #5, Hanover Elementary at #36 and Delano Elementary at #49.
At the middle level, STMA’s Middle School East ranked #22 in the state, while Middle School West landed at #35.
Other nearby middle schools taking top spots included Delano Middle at #15, Rogers Middle School at #25, Salk Middle School in Elk River at #31 and Zimmerman Middle at #33.
School Digger ranked STMA High School as #24 in the state based on test scores. Nearby schools who bested STMA’s ranking include Maple Grove Senior High at #15 and Spectrum High School in Elk River at #20.
STMA Superintendent, Dr. Ann-Marie Foucault, said it is very gratifying to see STMA ranked with top school districts in the state such as Minnetonka, Edina, Eden Prairie and Wayzata, who have long traditions of excellence.
“I am extremely proud of students and staff and very thankful for the continued support from parents and the community,” Foucault said.
