The Wright County Sheriff’s Office is teaming with multiple state and local agencies after a man disappeared under the waters of the Crow River Monday night.
Wright County Sheriff Joe Hagerty reports that at 6:56 p.m. Monday, June 5th the Wright County Sheriff’s Office Communications office received a 911 call of a suspected drowning in the North Fork Crow River near the Keats Ave bridge in Middleville Township. The caller reported that a person they had been swimming with had went underwater and did not surface. At this time the name of the missing person is being withheld, but is described as an 18-year-old male.
Rescue personnel from the following agencies responded to the scene: Wright County Patrol Deputies, Wright County Water Patrol, Howard Lake Police Department, MN DNR, MN State Patrol Helicopter, Waverly Fire Department, Howard Lake Fire Department, Maple Lake Fire Department, and the Winsted Fire Department.
Authorities suspended the search last night around 9:30 due to lack of daylight. The search for this missing person will continue today.
