A Wright County girl missing since Saturday afternoon was found alive as searchers canvassed the area around a St. Cloud park.
Aaliyah Kazimer, 17, is in police custody and her parents have been notified after she walked up to a base for volunteers near Munsinger Gardens, near Riverside Park.
Investigators found her vehicle at Riverside Park Saturday, making the spot her last known whereabouts. She was last seen in a St. Cloud home off of Stearns County Highway 120.
Kazimer’s father was featured Monday on KARE 11 news, saying he’s thankful for the work done by multiple agencies, including Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office and the St. Cloud Police. Weather and water conditions have caused some delays.
Kazimer was last seen wearing a black button-up shirt and dark colored running shorts. She is described as Asian, 5-feet-2-inches tall, and weighing 120 pounds. She’s slated to graduate from Annandale High this May, and wanted to attend school in Madison this fall.
United Legacy, nonprofit search management organization based in Minnesota that assisted in the search for a man in Otsego two years ago, has been helping the family with coordinating ground searches.
According to the St. Cloud Times, Kazimer walked up to volunteers and was quickly taken to medical personnel. St. Cloud Police aren’t releasing any information on her condition at this time.
