One person was airlifted to a Twin Cities hospital after a single car accident on westbound Interstate 94 this morning west of Rogers.
The accident, which happened around 9:30 a.m., caused a shutdown of the freeway while a helicopter landed on the westbound lanes.
Witnesses said the car, a sedan, crashed into the side rail and came careening across the lanes of traffic.
More information will be provided when the Minnesota State Patrol files its official report. The status of the driver and any passengers is unknown.
