Race for St. Michael-Albertville School Board: 2016 Unofficial Results

November 7, 2016 By Mike Schoemer

Seven candidates, including two incumbents, are vying for three open seats on the St. Michael-Albertville School Board. Board members serve four-year terms. The seven candidates are: Kari Dwinnell, Joan Keiner, Tom Polinceusz, Brian Reinbold, Hollee Saville, Drew Scherber (incumbent) and Carol Steffens (incumbent).

It’s the largest field for the school district in recent memory, prompted, in part, by a $35 million bond issue that’s tentatively set for February 2017.

All seats are “at large,” meaning no candidate represents just a portion of the district.

Here’s a look at the (unofficial) results:

ST. MICHAEL-ALBERTVILLE SCHOOL BOARD (five of seven precincts reporting)

Joan Keiner 5.5%

Kari Dwinnell 19.4%

Drew Scherber 19.3%

Hollee Saville 22.6%

Carol Steffens 14.6%

Tom Polinceusz 9.2%

Brian Reinbold 9.1%
