Honor students Coming to ‘Trick or Can’ Halloween Night

October 30, 2016 By Meghan Gutzwiller

Halloween is upon us, and St. Michael-Albertville High School’s National Honor Society students are encouraging community members to prepare a food shelf donation in addition to that bowl of candy on Halloween night. The NHS students will be out among the trick-or-treaters to collect non-perishable items for the Hanover Food Shelf between 6:30-8 p.m.

National Honor Society advisor Bob Zahler said the honor students have been doing Trick or Can on Halloween for many years, but were not able to continue the tradition for the past two years due to conflicts with the school athletic schedule. They will be back this year, he said, and wanted to make sure the STMA community is informed and ready for them. Zahler said students will arrive in costume and will identify themselves as members of National Honor Society.
