Motorists who travel both directions of Minnesota Highway 241 west of Interstate 94 in St. Michael should plan for delays as all lanes of Highway 241 close at the railroad crossing just west of I-94 after at 7 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 22.
All lanes of Highway 241 in St. Michael are scheduled to open by 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23.
Rush hour congestion is expected in St. Michael and Albertville while Highway 241 is closed. Motorists should plan additional time for travel and alternate routes. Signed detours will direct motorists along Highway 241, Wright County Road 19, and the two I-94 interchanges in Albertville.
The road closure is needed while crews repair the BNSF railroad crossing located on Highway 241 just west of I-94 in St. Michael.
