After a lengthy stay in Albertville, Salon 61 has pulled up stakes and headed south to St. Michael, where it’s now in the heart of that city, off Highway 241 in the former NAPA store.
Salon 61 had previously been in Albertville since October of 2007. Prior to their open several of the stylists, including owner Rebecca Yarochowicz, had been stylists at Main Styles which relocated due to the 241 one way split.
Salon 61 is a full salon offering hair services, facial waxing and eyelash extensions. Currently 10 stylists rent space with room for 12.
“I knew that we were going to to outgrow our Albertville location,” Rebecca explained via phone earlier this week. “I was getting an 8th stylist and knew there were others interested.”
She knew that staying in the area was important because of the clients and also because of the community. Originally from the Maple Grove area and now living in the Monticello area Rebecca explained that she enjoys having a business in our community because of the support. “There is so much local support and everyone really welcomes each other,” she said.
Once a suitable location to expand was found, Rebecca and her team worked together to transform the build out of what was at one point an auto parts store and has now become a sanctuary.
It’s hard not to feel welcome and relaxed when walking through the doors.
In the end, Rebecca and Salon 61’s vision is simple- “everyone deserves to feel beautiful.”
Salon 61 is located at 400 Central Avenue in St. Michael. Find them on Facebook here.
