The Albertville Lions are once again offering a full summer of Farmers Market events in downtown Albertville. The market features local growers from the Albertville and surrounding area, and a great opportunity for area residents to get fresh produce from farm to table. The market also offers a limited variety of food related products and craft items. The market is open from 3 to 7 p.m. every Thursday through September 27, with extended dates possible.
The Lions are sponsoring a Concert in the Park Series this summer again, featuring the Shane Martin Band tonight, Thursday, June 28. For these special event the Lions will also offer brats, hotdogs, pizza, chips, and refreshments. Bring the family out along some lawn chairs or a blanket and enjoy some FREE music.

For the rest of the season there is booth space available to rent. Vendors can rent a 12 x 12 space and bring their own canopy. Anyone interested in renting booth space during the Albertville Farmers Market should contact LeRoy @ 763-443-5621. The Albertville Farmers Market is located at the Lions Shelter in Central Park just off Main Avenue in downtown Albertville.
PoP Program for STMA Kids
The Lions Farmers Market and the FYCC are teaming up with local sponsors to offer the Power of Produce program at the Farmers Market as well. This free program for kids ages 4 through 12 offers them a free bag and free registration, and the kids will get $2 to use to buy fresh fruits or veggies from the market growers.
Just visit the PoP desk, located in the Lions Shelter, and sign up. The program is made possible by the Crow River Area Food Council, the United Way, Health Source Chiropractic, Albertville Lifetime Fat Loss Center and the FYCC.
